\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCourmayeur originally developed as a tourist resort with a focus on wellness.\r\nTowards the end of the 1600s the healing properties of the mineral waters<\/strong> that gushed out in the vicinity were recognized. Thus, when skiing, mountaineering, golf and cycling did not yet exist, Courmayeur became a destination above all for spa tourism. Today, not much remains of this past, overtaken by the tourist activities linked to the position at the foot of Mont Blanc. A break of tranquility and wellness at the nearby Pr\u00e9-Saint-Didier spa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\nWhen it comes to wellness, spas come to mind.\r\nUnique of their kind are the famous Terme of Pr\u00e9-Saint-Didier<\/strong>, located a short distance from the beginning of the La Thuile valley, about 6 km by car from Courmayeur.\r\nThe sources of mineral waters have been known since Roman times for their healing properties. Today, the spa is housed in the recently restored nineteenth-century building of the Casino.\r\nInside, spaces have been created with whirlpools, saunas, steam baths, mud baths. These include special treatments, such as invigorating waterfalls, relaxation pools, chromotherapy rooms and panoramic relaxation rooms. Outside there is a garden with outdoor thermal pools<\/strong> and saunas<\/strong> from where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Mont Blanc group.\r\nAt the other end of the Aosta Valley you can also try the Terme of Saint Vincent, although not as close at hand from Courmayeur as those of Pr\u00e9-Saint-Didier.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Still others are about to open in large, newly built hotels.\r\nWithin the vast complex of the Courmayeur Sport Center<\/strong><\/a> there is a body care center with sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool, solarium, face and body treatments, facial treatments, massages, etc. In addition, some spaces specially equipped with machines and exercise equipment are dedicated to gymnastics and fitness.\r\n\r\nStill on the subject of “wellness” it is worth mentioning the “barefooting” path<\/strong> in Morgex.
